Warrior Epic, review

This room-based Free2Play MMORPG started its first Close Beta like .... quite a long time ago. It wasn't so enjoyable then. Now, it's back with improvements. They just had another close beta, then jumped to release, with Cashshop for players to spend money on and to decorate their Champions with pieces of armors for appearance, or Upgrades to their Warriors Hall.
Either way, its launch was overclouded by so many errors and bugs and malfunctions of systems; old accounts could not be used, and players were forced to make new ones; players get dropped out from missions; lag; not working as intended skills, exp curve that would take forever to reach high level; blue screen of death; and so on.
One thing I would like to point out, is the Spirit system. There are 2 types of spirits in Warrior Epic: dead Champion spirit and Monster spirit. Champion spirit is obtained when you sacrifice a Champion with a special room bought from Cashshop, or a Champion is killed 3 times in a mission, while Monster spirit is obtained after completing a mission as a reward. Both kinds of spirits can be used to upgrade a piece of equipment for stronger stat bonus (such as Health +4, or Movement Speed +10) which is pre-determined on each equipment. Champion spirit is also capable of being summoned during a mission to aid your character, usually dealing massive AoE damage once per mission. And you can bring 3 Champion spirits with you on a mission and they don't get consumed either.
But as you level further, monsters become harder as well, however, your Champion spirits stay at the same level as when you first obtain them, rendering their attack less effective against monsters with higher HP. Thus, you need to level your other Champions to higher level too, in order to turn them into higher level spirits. Good thing is Champion spirits can be resurrected with Prestige Points which is earned from each mission, so that means you can turn a level 5 Champion into a spirit and use it for AoE, then when its level becomes quite low, resurrect it and continue leveling it again, then repeat; no need to start off at level 1 every time ;)
Upgrading Equipment does consume the spirit though, so it's best to do so with Monster spirits instead.
Despite all the negatives, which are temporary, Warrior Epic could actually be quite enjoyable. We will have to wait for them to improve/upgrade/get rid of bugs from/adjust the game further.

• Considering the fact that characters seem to have low polygons, they do look nice • Gender-Class restriction as well |
• A bit boring actually • There's also some 'pop' sometimes |
• Lots of bugs • Lots of bugs • Lots of bugs • Bad grinding, and players have to level more than one character • Random quest reward |
• Cashshop isn't overpowered, but then again it's a little more than character cosmetic • Unique Spirit systems • But obtaining high level Spirits is a pain |
